ARKADELPHIA – Two people broke into five different athletic buildings on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University facilities Jan. 12, stealing articles such as electronic devices, memorabilia and sports equipment, campus police reported.

“The safety of Ouachita’s campus and community is always our top priority,” said Jeff Crow, director of the department of safety and emergency management. “Since transitioning to a campus police force over the last two years, Ouachita is better prepared than ever to deal with this kind of situation.”

The Ouachita police are working closely with the Arkadelphia Police Department, Clark County sheriff’s office and other local agencies to investigate several leads.

“We are confident that we will successfully identify and arrest the responsible parties,” said Crow.

If you have any information that will lead to the identification and arrest of the two people, please contact the Ouachita Police at (870) 245-4000. A $1,000 reward is being offered to anyone providing information leading to an arrest.
