Episcopal Church says all same-sex couples can now marry in their home churches
THE EPISCOPAL CHURCH removed restrictions on same-sex marriage July
13, making it so all couples can wed where they worship.
While they are already permitted across much of the Episcopal Church, bishops in eight U.S. dioceses had not permitted religious wedding ceremonies for gay and lesbian couples in their regions of the church. The decision made July 13 by the denomination's governing body overrides those local decisions.
