Breland to serve Little Rock church

    Breland has served as a worship pastor at First Baptist North Mobile in Saraland, Ala. for 10 years and Grace Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tenn. since 2014. He has also served at churches in Ohio and Florida.

    He was an artist in residence in worship leadership at the University of Mobile in Mobile, Ala. and served as a director and instructor in the school of worship leadership and music. Breland founded the university’s record label, song publishing company and Fisher-Brewer Recording Studio.

    Before serving in the local church, Breland was a singer and road director for TRUTH, a Gospel Music hall of fame group. From 1993-1998, Breland performed more than 2,000 concerts, recorded six internationally released CDs and traveled throughout the United States and a dozen nations.

    Breland’s career features multiple choral collections such as Believe in 2003 and God Hears in 2009 with Integrity Music, and His Grace My Story in 2017 and Light Has Come in 2019 with Prism Music.

    “Jason comes to us with impeccable character and competency in music and leadership,” said Steven Smith, senior pastor at Immanuel. “What I am most excited about is the chemistry. His strengths and this ministry assignment are a wonderful fit, and I could not be more thrilled that God has brought us together!”

    Breland has been married to his wife, Amy, since 1995. They have four children: Emily, 21; Abigail, 19; Jackson, 16; and Jefferson, 6.
