LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas House of Representatives approved a bill that would limit most abortions at 18 weeks of pregnancy with an 86-1 vote March 13.
The bill was approved by the state’s Senate earlier this week and will now be sent to Gov. Asa Hutchinson’s desk.
Before being approved in the Senate, the bill was amended to include exemptions for rape and incest, according to THV-TV reports.
Earlier this year, Hutchinson signed into law a bill that would make most abortions illegal in Arkansas if the U.S. Supreme Court were to overturn its decision in the case of Roe v. Wade.
