The Arkansas Baptist State Convention (ABSC) is hosting its annual Inspire Conference from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at First Baptist Church, Russellville.

“We are excited to offer an opportunity for the women of Arkansas to gather for a one-day conference that has the potential to change the direction of their lives. We will worship together, pray together and open God’s Word together,” said Andrea Lennon, Arkansas Baptists’ women’s ministry specialist. Andrea serves on the Evangelism and Church Health Team of the ABSC.

“As women, we tend to put the needs of others before our own. As a result, many women are running on empty. Inspire offers an opportunity for women to experience a fresh move of God in their lives. I truly believe that God will meet us in such a profound way at Inspire 2020 that everyone who attends will be refreshed, challenged, and changed,” said Lennon.

Inspire will provide powerful worship, dynamic speakers and practical breakout sessions for women of all ages and stages of life. This year Inspire has a special breakout track for teen girls where they will learn about their identity in Christ.

The theme for this year’s Inspire is pursuing a God-size vision and focus for life. This theme will set the tone for the day as attendees focus on how to know God’s plan and live out His plan. The key verse for the day is found in Ephesians 1:17-18. “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know the hope that is your calling.”

Keynote speaker for the event is Lori McDaniel, former International Mission Board (IMB) missionary.

McDaniel loves the women of Arkansas and said, “No matter what culture around the world I’ve visited, women seem to have one thing in common — they are wired to gather with other women, to learn from one another, to sharpen one another and challenge one another. What if in this gathering we boldly gathered to pursue God’s will for our lives and for His name — nothing more and nothing less? I’m praying for the hundreds of women who will gather for one day of being in the Word and praying together — that our gathering will fuel our going; that we gather deeply seeking to know Him and then leave sufficiently daring to make Him known.”

Returning this year are worship leaders Robert and Brooke Ramsey, from First Baptist Church, Russellville. Robert Ramsey serves as worship pastor and Brooke Ramsey serves as the women’s ministry leader at First Baptist, Russellville.

A variety of breakout sessions will be offered by leaders including Shari Edwards, Lisa Jones, Lesley Hildreth, Sally Hennard, Jacki King, Shelly Chandler, Lennon, Susan Goss, Shaneil “P.J.” Yarbrough and Cole Penick. Cheryl Harp and Lauren Holley will lead a special breakout time for ministers’ wives. Whitley Tracy will lead the teen girls track designed for girls 9-12 grades. Each breakout session will relate to the theme for the day and will challenge the women and teens to apply God’s Word deep in their hearts as well as in every area of their lives.

Cost for the event is $30 for adults and $20 for students. For more information or to purchase tickets, go to absc.org/inspire.
