HOT SPRINGS – The second of three Celebrate The Word weekends is set for July 19-20 at Magic Springs Water and Theme Park.
The event features Heaven Is for Real: Live and Christian music group MercyMe.
Heaven Is for Real: Live will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, July 19 and MercyMe will performer at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 20. Citizen Way and Big Daddy Weave will take perform at 6:30 p.m. prior to MercyMe.
Heaven Is for Real: Live features author Todd Burpo and a live show of “song, story and hope,” according to press release about the event. “It all began after Burpo’s 4-year old son, Colton, experienced heaven during emergency surgery. He talked about looking down to see the doctor operating and his dad praying in the waiting room,” the release states.
Also on hand at the park for the Celebrate the Word weekend is illusionist Harris III, performing at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. at the Lakeside Theater on Friday and Saturday.
“These weekends are highly anticipated by many of our guests,” said Steve Honeycutt, general manager of the park. “This is a special festival with a focus on faith and family with a tremendous lineup of the best talent in contemporary Christian entertainment.”
