HOT SPRINGS – Magic Springs Water and Theme Park is hosting an event for students and those involved with student ministry to be held at the Hot Springs Convention Center and at the park on Saturday, June 13. “Amplify!” is a conference-style event featuring nationally recognized speakers and a concert by Grammy Award-winning Christian hip-hop artist Lecrae. Family Force 5 will perform Friday, June 12 at 8:00 p.m.
The conference features a diverse lineup of speakers and entertainment including Brandon Barber, lead pastor at Elevate Church in Houston, Texas; author and speaker Mercy Lokulutuu of Baltimore, Md., and renowned Christian magician Brad Brown of Louisville, Ky.
“We have put together an incredible package for this conference,” said Steve Honeycutt, general manager of Magic Springs. Our event last year was a tremendous success with more than 800 students attending, and we hope to top that this year. Participants only pay for park admission at greatly reduced rates and the conference is free," he added.

LITTLE ROCK – The third Arkansas Baptist pastor/staff motorcycle ride is set for Thursday and Friday, May 28-29.
Pastors and other church staff members interested in participating are asked to meet at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 28 at the Arkansas Baptist State Convention (ABSC) Building in Little Rock. The group is expected to ride throughout southwest Arkansas visiting various mission points and then return to Little Rock the following Friday afternoon.
The pastor/staff ride is being hosted by J.D. “Sonny” Tucker, ABSC executive director; Tim Yarbrough, editor/executive director of the Arkansas Baptist News, and Marcus Brown, a member of the ABSC evangelism and church health team.
Pre-registration for the ride is required to receive a T-shirt on the day of the ride. To register, visit arkansasbaptist.org/ride15 by May 18.
