Jason NoelThe first recommendation was for the adoption of the 2013 ABSC Cooperative Program budget. The second recommendation was for the adoption of the ABSC team goals for 2013. Both passed unanimously.
“And I want you to know that this work that we do each year is not about denominational service for the sake of denominational service. The work that we do each year is for the sake of the gospel of Jesus Christ,” Noel said, continuing, “None of us have time for more tasks. But we all have time to be a part of seeing lives changed by the gospel of Jesus Christ. So when you see these recommendations today, you don’t just see numbers and you don’t just see goals, but you see a strategy to reach people in the state of Arkansas with the good news of Jesus Christ.”
Ken Jerome, vice president of the convention and interim pastor at First Baptist Church, Jacksonville, thanked the Noel and the Executive Board for their work in putting the budget together.
