Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 11:04PM LITTLE ROCK - Tim Yarbrough, editor of the Arkansas Baptist News, thanked messengers for their support and urged non-subscribers to give the paper another look, during the 2011 Arkansas Baptist State Convention Annual Meeting held Nov. 1-2 at First Baptist Church, Little Rock.
“We are grateful for our loyal Arkansas Baptist News subscribers and supporters,” said Yarbrough.
He highlighted several changes the newspaper has undergone in the past year. These changes included a new digital edition, a revised logo, a new slogan, more Arkansas Baptist-centric news and shorter, more concise stories.
In addition, the ABN launched a new website in September that features more bonus content not found in the printed edition.
The newspaper also features more special sections and features than any time in recent history, said Yarbrough. Sections have included a Christian Education Guide, Student/Youth Ministry issue, Travel section, Church Building and Facilities section and more. Special pages added to the ABN include an Arkansas Baptist State Convention (ABSC) page.
“The bottom line is that the staff of the ABN is working hard to better report on and communicate the activity of God among His people known as Arkansas Baptists,” said Yarbrough.
