ABSC Executive Board makes recommendations

LITTLE ROCK – During the Arkansas Baptist State Convention (ABSC) Executive Board report at the 2011 ABSC Annual Meeting, ABSC Executive Board President Jason Noel, who is also pastor of East Side Baptist Church, Paragould, brought three recommendations for consideration by messenger.

First, the Executive Board moved to adopt the 2012 ABSC Operating Budget, which remained flat, except for a 0.2 percent increase in the amount given to Southern Baptist Convention causes. Second, they moved to adopt the projects and team goals submitted by ABSC teams. Finally, they moved to adopt the unified budget formula (2012-2017 Cooperative Program Unified Budget Formula), which is required to be reviewed and resubmitted every five years. A committee was appointed for that task. All three motions carried.
