Started as mission: FBC Pottsville celebrates 50 years


POTTSVILLE – Fifty years ago a gallon of milk cost 49 cents, a dozen eggs cost 57 cents and a first-class stamp cost 4 cents. It was 1961, and it was the year Pottsville Baptist Mission, a mission of First Baptist Church, Russellville, began.
